Description

Glycerine is used for liquids to to give it that thicker look and also to Carry them in the water. As its thicker than water its solubility is delayed if you dip your baits into it and cast out, letting you get your bait to the bottom of the lake. Due to the way glycerine interacts with water molecules by effectively covering with a coat it acts like a mild preservative although in itself it is not a preservative. It is also carry flavours well and baits soaked in it will harden, great for making hookbaits tougher.

What can I use to thin glycerin without adding a huge flavour profile to it? Mark Abrahart asked on August 22, 2022

Hi,

The best thing to use would be MPG as it would help keep it PVA friendly and won't have any unwanted effects. (We don't currently supply MPG). Simply using water will be fine but it depends on what you wish to use the glycerine for. Using water will affect how PVA friendly the end solution is, as well as its shelf life. You could also use our bait preservative, which doesn't have a strong aroma.
