Matt Hollingworth wins Brookfoot Lake night ticket match.

Spotted Fin’s Matt Hollingworth fished and won a match at Brookfoot lake and top prize was for the biggest fish and Matt took Gold with this fish at 21lb 7oz. Matt told us ‘I drew a peg at one end of the lake on the back of a strong SW wind, not ideal and only saw one fish Friday afternoon, a large percentage of the fish were down the other end of the lake, so I knew I was going to struggle. One of my rods rattled of at 3am and ran me all over for a good 20mins and I knew it was a half decent fish when I saw it roll under the light of my head torch.Nailed it on a Pink Pepper Squid 12mm popup with a good scattering of the new classic corn 4mm/8mm pellet, hemp and milled tiger nut, soaked the day before in tiger nut extract and chilli hemp oil…. my mega combination…Didn’t see a fish for the rest of the competition and felt lucky just to have nailed that one. It was the only fish out my end of the lake and the other 3 anglers blanked, further down the lake there were another 7 fish out to the other 8 competitors but nothing as big… one bite one fish, happy days’
